Exclusive! Alaya F on Uttarakhand floods: I hope we start being more considerate of the environment and people around us – Times of India

A glacier broke off in Joshimath in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district today. Around 100 to 150 people may have died reportedly. Several Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles, praying for the safety of the people. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Alaya F expressed her views on the environmental disaster.

“I think you know we all have this one beautiful planet and we must take very very good care of it and we must take ownership of it. I think we’re often so careless and reckless with the way we treat the environment however we want” commented Alaya.

She also added, “We can’t really make a difference so we don’t do much or we don’t take much of an initiative because we’re like okay we’re just 1% of the problem on a much larger scale, but I feel like we should all just take responsibility”

On a closing note the actress said, “I think we can make a big big difference because we are the ones that caused this mess. I’m sure we can do a lot of great things to undo this mess. And, you know, I hope we start being more considerate of the environment and people around us”.
