Xiaomi may launch world’s fastest charging smartphone this year – Times of India
Last year in July, there was a time when Chinese smartphone brands announced their fastest charging technologies. Brands including Oppo, iQoo and Realme showcased — one after the other —showcased their developments in the fast charge technology support.
While iQoo announced its 120 Watt ultra-fast flash charge technology with the claim that it can power up a 4000mAh battery from 0%to 50% in 5 minutes, Oppo and Realme showcased 125W VOOC flash charging and 125WW UltraDart Charge respectively.
Now, it appears arch-rival Xiaomi is set to break this record by introducing 200W wired charging support, which means that this could be the world’s fastest charging device.
According to a report by GizChina, which cites popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is currently testing a new flagship product that will boast of 200W fast charging.
This device is expected to be launched in the second half of the year.
There is no certainty on which would be the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone but the report by GizChina expects it to be the Mi Mix 4.
However, GSMarena predicts it to be called Mi 11 Ultra as right now the fastest charging smartphone of Xiaomi is the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, which supports 120W charging.
