xbox wireless headset: Microsoft announces Xbox Wireless Headset in select countries – Times of India
Microsoft has announced a new Xbox accessory- the Xbox Wireless Headset that will be made available in select countries including the US, the UK, Canada, Germany and Australia. The headset comes powered with spatial sound technologies like Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos and DTS Headphone: X.
The headset can be preordered via the online Microsoft Store in the US for $100 and in the UK, for £95. In Canada, it will be available for CAD$ 130 while in Germany, it will retail for €100. The headset’s price in Australia will be AUD$150.
The headphone’s ear cups are made of polyurethane leather and it comes with an adjustable headband with a thick cushion.
The headphone comes equipped with dual beamforming microphone elements for better speech audio. When the mic is active and your voice is being picked up through it, a light indicator will glow. They also have a voice isolation feature to reduce background noise.
There is an auto-mute feature too that automatically mutes your microphone when you are not talking with anyone. The headphone has a manual mute button.
“With the Xbox Wireless Headset, you can play wirelessly across multiple devices including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 PCs. The headset also connects to mobile devices via Bluetooth for on-the-go music or chat and to your console via Xbox Wireless technology just like an Xbox Wireless Controller, meaning there are no cables or dongles required. You can also simultaneously pair the headset to your phone and Xbox. That means, for example, that you can chat with a friend or – as the engineering team recalls doing – dial in to a conference call on your phone and play on your console at the same time.”, says a blog post by Microsoft.
