World’s first carbon fiber-phone, Carbon 1 Mark II, launched – Times of India
Technology brand Carbon Mobile has launched what it claims to be the world’s first phone that is made from carbon fiber, called Carbon 1 Mark II.
As per the company, the carbon fiber consists of multi 1K and 3K ultra-thin filaments that makes it stronger than steel and at the same time lighter than aluminium. Dimension wise, the Carbon 1 Mark II is 125 grams in weight and 6.3mm in thickness.
When it comes to specs, the Carbon 1 Mark II smartphone offers a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with 2160x1080p resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device has a Corning Gorilla Glass 7.
Powered by MediaTek Helio P90 processor, coupled with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
Backed by a 3000mAh battery, the Carbon 1 Mark II runs on Android 10. The company promises to roll out 2 years of guaranteed software updates and monthly security updates.
For imaging duties, the smartphone has a 16MP front camera (f/2.01 aperture) and on the back, there its a 20MP sensor (f/2.2 aperture).
As per the official website, the device has been priced at 799 Euros (approximately Rs 70,000).
