South star Ramya Krishna had fans on social media buzzing when she released a photo with actor Vijay Deverakonda on the ‘Liger’ film sets early this week. Reports soon confirmed that the actress will be seen playing a prominent role in the action-flick that also stars Ananya Panday in a leading role.

Now, according to the latest reports, the actress, who played the Queen Mother in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, will reportedly play the role of a mother to Vijay’s character in the upcoming Bollywood flick.

It was also reported that the actress came on board the project as her character plays a pivotal role in the narrative. Much like the strong and fierce roles she has taken on over the years, she will reportedly play another such ‘strong-minded’ woman in this flick. However, here wardrobe in the film will undergo a major transformation.

Ditching the silks for simple cotton sarees, she will be seen in a new light and a rather de-glam avatar.

The actress wrapped up her schedule shoot in Mumbai early this week and headed back to Chennai. Vijay, on the other hand, is said to be rehearsing for the title track of the film.

‘Liger’ is slated for a release on 9 September 2021.
