Vivo S9, S9e smartphones with Android 11 operating system launched in China – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Vivo has launched its latest S-series smartphones in China. The company has launched Vivo S9 and Vivo S9e smartphones in the country. Both the smartphones come with a full HD+ AMOLED display and 64MP triple rear camera setup.
The high-end variant comes with a starting price tag of 2999 yuan (Rs 33,787) and it can be purchased in Midnight Blue, Gradient Blue and White colours options.
The smartphone will go on sale in China starting March 12. On the other hand, the price of Vivo S9e starts at 2399 yuan (Rs 27,025) and it can be bought in Diamond Crystal, Aurora Blue and Obsidian Black colour options. Customers will be able to purchase the smartphone starting March 27.
Vivo S9 specifications
Vivo S9 comes with a 6.44-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Dimensity 1100 processor paired with 8GB/12GB RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage variants — 128GB and 256GB.
Vivo S9 comes with dual SIM support and runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of OriginOS 1.0. The smartphone comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and houses super linear speakers.
Talking about the camera, Vivo S9 sports a triple rear camera setup with 64MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a dual selfie shooter with 44MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and 8MP secondary ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone houses a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
On the other hand, Vivo S9e sports a similar design and some similar specifications. The smartphone just comes with a different processor, larger battery and a single lens front camera.
Vivo S9e sports a 32MP selfie camera and is backed by a 4100 mAh battery. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 820 processor.
