Fans have been eagerly waiting for the third instalment of the popular ‘Munna Bhai’ series starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi in the lead roles. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently spilled the beans on the same.

Talking to a news portal, Chopra reportedly said that they have not made the third Munna Bhai because he was not happy with the script yet. He added that Abhijat and Rajkumar Hirani are working on the script and hopefully, they will have a script by the year-end. According to the producer, he never said that he won’t make the film. He said that he won’t ever make a substandard Munna Bhai.

Recently, Arshad Warsi too opened up about the much-awaited franchise. He admitted he has no idea about the reasons behind the delay. He finds it weirdest as three scripts are almost ready and there’s also a producer who would love to make it.

Earlier in February last year, the team had hinted that they have zeroed in on an idea for the third ‘Munna Bhai’ film and it’s being developed. Arshad also revealed that he was supposed to collaborate with Dutt on one more project, but the film had to be put on hold because of the latter’s health problems. The actor has now said once Sanjay is all healthy and fine, they will discuss and start the film.
