A glacial broke in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Sunday which led to an avalanche and massive flooding along the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers. Reports suggest that over 150 people have lost their lives and 150 people are missing. Several Bollywood celebs like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and others took to social media and sent prayers for the people of Uttarakhand.

Now, Shahid Kapoor took to his Twitter handle and sent out prayers for those who are affected in the state. He also mentioned that he has shot there several times. His tweet read, “Prayers for all those effected in Uttarakhand. A beautiful state with wonderful people. Have shot there many a times.” Have a look:

Earlier, ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ actress Alaya F reacted to the news and told ETimes, “I think you know we all have this one beautiful planet and we must take very very good care of it and we must take ownership of it. I think we’re often so careless and reckless with the way we treat the environment however we want. We can’t really make a difference so we don’t do much or we don’t take much of an initiative because we’re like okay we’re just 1% of the problem on a much larger scale, but I feel like we should all just take responsibility.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid recently wrapped up the shoot of his next film ‘Jersey’. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in key roles. The film is all set to release on 5
