These Xiaomi phones will get MIUI 12.5 first, followed by more – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Xiaomi unveiled the MIUI 12.5 in December in China along with the launch of Xiaomi Mi 11. The company has now confirmed its features and the details of the global rollout. The company has also revealed the list of devices which will receive MIUI 12.5.
The company claims that MIUI 12.5 is lighter, faster and more economical as compared to the MIUI 12. The company has also rewritten the system UI and it is also designed to reduce the memory usage by 20%. Xiaomi also mentioned that the new layer of UI will also decrease the power consumption by 25%.
Xiaomi also said that the on-screen gestures will be smoother this time and the company also guaranteed instant response. With MIUI 12.5 the company has also introduced uninstallable system apps. Users will now be able to uninstall the apps which are engraved in the system core. The company has also revamped its Notes app and has added four different drawing tools and quick access for note-taking.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the stable version of MIUI 12.5 will roll out on Mi 11 and Mi 10 series of smartphones starting Q2, 2021. The Mi 10 Lite and Mi Note series receive the update by Q2, 2021. After this, the company will gradually release the update on other devices.
