The LG, DGP, and Centre answerable for the situation here, not me: Farooq | India News – Times of India
JAMMU: Referring to the situation in Jammu & Kashmir, former chief minister of the erstwhile state, Farooq Abdullah, on Sunday said those who shout from the top of the mountain that everything is well here should answer.
When asked about the death of the son of Krishna Dhaba owner, who was cremated on Sunday, Abdullah said, “We have already said the incident is tragic and unfortunate.”
“Those who shout from the top of the mountain that everything is hunky-dory here and bring ambassadors here to show how good it is, they should answer for that, not Farooq Abdullah. It is the lieutenant governor who should answer if militancy is dead; the DGP should answer who everyday says it is all over,” Abdullah added.
On February 17, terrorists belonging to Muslim Jaanbaz Force, an offshoot of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, attacked Krishna Dhaba in Durganag area of Srinagar when 24 foreign diplomats were visiting the Union territory. The owner of the eatery was shot dead while his son sustained serious injuries. On Sunday, he too succumbed to his injuries.
