Joining him in spreading the word were co-stars Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh. The stars who will join forces in this one-of-a-kind cop universe, took to their respective handles to share the exciting news with all their fans.
“Sooryavanshi: A promise is a promise. Sooryavanshi in cinemas on 30th April 2021,” Devgn wrote in his post.
Ranveer, on the other hand, wrote, “Aa Rahi Hai Police! Sooryavanshi in cinemas on 30th April 2021 #Sooryavanshi30thApril.
This confirmation comes after many speculative reports guessed the release date of the Akshay Kumar-starrer. Sources close to the film spilled the details to ETimes saying, “They have waited long enough, of course, they didn’t see this current wave coming in Maharashtra. But how long can they further wait? They now believe that if the crowd can come in for ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Master’, why not for ‘Sooryavanshi’?”
The film that will see Akshay reunite with Katrina Kaif was originally slated for a March 24, 2020 release. Owing to the closure of cinema halls to prevent the spread of covid-19, the film’s release was delayed by more than a year.
This comes in as a double celebration for Rohit Shetty fans. The director, who is celebrating his birthday today, received a special message from his leading man in a tweet that read, “It was easiest to bond with Rohit because we shared one common passion which brought us together : Action! Happy birthday Rohit, wishing you an action-packed year ahead.”
