Soon, you may not be able to reshare feed posts to stories on Instagram – Times of India
Facebook-owned photo-sharing app Instagram has reportedly disabled the option to share and reshape posts from feed to their Stories.
According to a report by Social Media Today, this is being done as a test and some users are seeing a notification that reads, “We hear from our community that they want to see fewer feed posts in stories. During this test, you won’t be able to add a feed post to your story.”
It is not known in which countries Instagram is running this test or for how long.
Re-sharing of feed posts on stories is a common practice so it remains to be seen if the company will roll out this feature globally to all users or not.
Meanwhile, Instagram has rolled out another feature that allows users to restore the content that they have deleted in the last 30 days. The Recently Deleted feature lets users restore photos, videos, reels and IGTV videos.
In an official blog post Instagram said, “We also added protections to help prevent hackers from compromising your account and deleting posts you’ve shared. We know hackers sometimes delete content when they gain access to an account, and until now people had no way of easily getting their photos and videos back. Starting today, we will ask people to first verify that they are the rightful account holders when permanently deleting or restoring content from Recently Deleted.”
