Sony launches FX6 full-frame camera with 10.2MP CMOS sensor and LCD viewfinder – Times of India
Sony has expanded its product portfolio in India with the launch of Sony FX6 camera (model ILME-FX6V). It is a full-frame professional camera and has a FE C 16-35mm T3.1G E-mount lens.
Price and availability
Sony FX6 full-frame camera is priced at Rs 5,99,990, while the FE C 16-35mm T3.1G E-mount lens will cost Rs 6,79,990. Both these devices will go on sale from February 4 onwards.
They can be purchased via select Sony Centers and Alpha Flagship stores across the country.
As an introductory offer, Sony is giving a B&W Type 6600 outdoor case worth Rs 22,990 free with the purchase of FX6 camera.
Sony FX6: Specifications
Sony FX6 camera is equipped with a 10.2MP 4K full-frame back-illuminated CMOS Exmor R sensor. The new camera offers Fast Hybrid AF and combines 627-point focal plane phase-detection AF.
Its advanced face detection and real-time Eye AF in high frame rates with continuous AF enables one to track fast-moving subjects in slow motion without losing focus.
The camera is said to capture up to five times slow-motion with 4K (QFHD) 120fps. The camera has a 3.5-inch LCD Viewfinder and has a base sensitivity of ISO 800 which is expandable up to 4,09,600.
The FX6 camera comes with a BIONZ XR image processing engine and is compatible with more than 50 E-mount lenses.
It is is capable of recording in XAVC all intra 4:2:2 10-bit depth along with DCI 4K (4096 x 2160 – up to 60p), QFHD 4K (3840 x 2160 – up to 120p) and FHD (1920×1080 – up to 240p). It can also record in XAVC Long GOP 4:2:0 8-bit QFHD 4K (3840 x 2160 – up to 120p6) and 4:2:2 10-bit FHD (1920×1080 – up to 240p).
The camera supports 16-bit RAW, HDMI output, timecode in/out, built-in Wi-Fi and four channel audio recording.
