NEW DELHI: India pocketed its second gold medal of the day at the ISSF shooting World Cup when the terrific pair of Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker defeated the Iranian duo of Javad Foroughi and Golnoush Sebghatollahi in the final of the 10m air pistol mixed team event here on Monday.
The Indian pair won 16-12 in the exciting final after trailing the Iranians for most part of the match at the Karni Singh Shooting Range (KSSR).

Earlier, another Indian pair of Yashaswini Singh Deswal and Abhishek Verma had settled for the bronze medal in the same mixed team event, edging past the Turkish pair of Ilayda Sevval Tarhan and Ismail Keles.
In the final match, the pair of Saurabh and Manu trailed the Iranian duo 8-10 till the ninth series before levelling the score at 10-all in the next competition shots. The Indians overtook the Iranians in the 11th series at 12-10 before closing the issue 16-12 in their favour.
In the gold-silver decider, Saurabh shot a brilliant 10.7 while Manu also shone with a 10.5.
