Samsung increases price of Galaxy M02: New price, variants and more – Times of India


Samsung has reportedly increased the price of one of its cheapest smartphones — Galaxy M02 — in India.
This was claimed by Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom on Twitter, although at the time of filing this report, the prices of the handset remain unchanged on Samsung’s official website and e-commerce websites including Amazon and Flipkart.
The Galaxy M02 was launched last month only.
Samsung Galaxy M02 alleged new price
After the revision, the Samsung Galaxy M02 is said to be selling at a starting price of Rs 7,499. This variant packs 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and has apparently become more expensive by Rs 500.
The price of the second storage variant of Galaxy M02 that offers 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage has also been increased by Rs 500, making its price Rs 7,999.
Samsung Galaxy M02 specifications
In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy M02 offers a 6.5-inch screen with HD+ (1600×720 pixel resolution) Infinity V LCD display.
The handset comes powered by a 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core Mediatek MT6739W chipset.
Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy M02 is claimed to offer up to 18 hours of internet usage time on a single charge.
For imaging duties, Samsung Galaxy M02 offers a dual camera setup that includes a 13MP main sensor and 2MP secondary camera. On the front, the smartphone has a 5MP sensor for selfies.
The smartphone runs on Android 10 based One UI 2.0 operating system. The device is equipped with a microSD card slot that can be used to expand the storage by up to 1TB.
