Samsung Galaxy M51 starts receiving Android 11 update – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung offers smartphones across price segments. Along with this, the company also makes sure that its users experience new software on its devices.
Samsung is one smartphone maker who takes software updates seriously. In the past weeks the tech giant has rolled out Android 11 updates for more than 20 smartphones and now Galaxy M51 is the new smartphone to join this list.
Samsung has started rolling out Android 11 update for its big battery smartphone — Galaxy M51. The company launched the smartphone last year in October and it was the first to come with a 7000mAh battery.
The Android 11 update also brings Samsung’s One UI 3.1 to the smartphone. Along with this, the handset also gets a security patch for the month of March 2021.
The update comes with firmware version M515FXXU2CUB7 and users can manually check the update by going to Settings> Software updates.
With the Android 11 update, Samsung Galaxy M51 users will be able to experience features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.
Samsung Galaxy M51 specifications
Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with a 6.7-inch Infinity O display which is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor.
The smartphone comes in two variants — 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy M51 sports a quad-rear camera setup which comprises a 64MP main sensor with LED flash, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP depth sensor and 5MP macro sensor. The front is home to a 32MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
As mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy M51 is backed by a 7000mAh battery. The smartphone comes with reverse charging capability and support for 25W fast charging. The company claims that the smartphone can charge completely in less than 2 hours.
