Samsung Galaxy A51 starts receiving Android 11 update in India – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Samsung Galaxy A51 was the most-popular Android smartphone of last year. The company launched the smartphone in January last year in India. The handset came with Android 10 operating system out-of-the-box topped with the company’s own layer on One UI 2.5. Earlier this month, Samsung started rolling out Android 11 update for the smartphone in Russia and now the company started the roll out in India.
Samsung has started rolling out Android 11 updated based on One UI 3.0 for Galaxy A51 users in India. The update comes with firmware version A515FXXU4DUB1 and it also brings along the security patch for the month of February. With the Android 11 update, Samsung Galaxy A51 users will be able to experience features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.
For those unaware, the is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 512GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution.
Samsung Galaxy A51 sports a quad-camera setup which consists of 48MP main sensor with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 12MP 123-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a 32MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
