Samsung Galaxy A50 starts receiving Android 11 update in India – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Samsung has started rolling out Android 11 update for its Galaxy A50 smartphone in India. The smartphone was scheduled to get the Android 11 update in April, but the company rolled out the update earlier than the scheduled time.
With the Android 11 update, the smartphone will get Samsung’s latest One UI 3.1 and also the security patch for the month of March 2021. The update weighs 1.87GB in size and comes with build number A505FDDU7CUBC. This is the second major update of the smartphone.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A50 in 2019 and the smartphone came with Android 9.0 out-of-the-box. Last year the company rolled out Android 10 update for the smartphone.
After the Android 11 update, the Galaxy A50 users will be able to experience features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.
Samsung Galaxy A50 specifications
Samsung Galaxy A50 comes with a 6.4-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9610 processor.
The smartphone packs 4GB/6GB of RAM and offers 64GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card. Samsung Galaxy A50 offers dual SIM support and comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup with 25MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 8MP 123-degree ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front houses a 25MP selfie shooter.
The smartphone is backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support.
