Samsung Galaxy A42 5G starts receiving Android 11 update – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung has rolled out Android 11 for its Galaxy A-series smartphone. The company has now started rolling out Android 11 update for Samsung Galaxy A42 5G smartphone.
The latest Android 11 update also brings Samsung’s own One Ui 3.1 and security patch for the month of March to the smartphone.
The Android 11 update for Samsung Galaxy A42 5G comes with build number A426BXXU1BUB7. With this latest software update, the Galaxy A42 5G users will be able to experience features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G specifications
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card.
The smartphone features a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity U display. Samsung Galaxy A42 5G runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own One UI. The handset comes with dual SIM functionality and sports a quad-rear camera setup.
The rear camera houses a 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 5MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front houses a 20MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone houses a 5000mAh battery with 15W adaptive fast charging support and it comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
