Salman confirmed early this month that he will join SRK for an extended cameo in the action-thriller helmed by ‘War’ director Siddharth Anand. The ‘Dabangg’ star had revealed his line-up of films, that also includes the third instalment of ‘Tiger’ franchise and ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’, on his show ‘Bigg Boss’.

‘Pathan’ marks Shah Rukh’s first film after 2018 ‘Zero’, which also featured Salman in a cameo. Previously, the two Bollywood heavyweights shared the screen in the 1998 blockbuster ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

Shah Rukh Khan too has made special appearances in Salman Khan’s films, including ‘Tubelight’ (2017) and ‘Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega’.

‘Pathan’ went on floors in November last year, with Shah Rukh Khan kicking off his shooting schedule. John Abraham, who plays the villain in the franchise was expected to start filming his scenes early 2021.

Leading lady, Deepika Padukone is also expected to join the boys for this action-thriller.

Rumours were rife that ‘Pathan’ will set the stage for an epic crossover that will see the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-lead ‘Tiger’ franchise merge with the Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff-lead ‘WAR’ franchise.
