ROG Academy: Asus launches ROG Academy program to mould e-sport gaming skills in Indian gamers – Times of India
Taiwanese computer and peripheral manufacturer Asus has announced its first virtual academy program — ROG Academy– for gamers in India.
The initiative provides gamers with a platform to sharpen and enhance their gaming skills. It, as per Asus, will also help them prepare for competitive e-sport tournaments on a national and a global level.
The company has partnered with AFK Gaming to organise this programme where they will select six players through a screening process who will be enrolled into ROG Academy.

Registration for the ROG Academy is already live. Players can register themselves by visiting the ROG Academy website till February 10.

Players looking to participate in the program should be aged 16 and above.
Also, players between the age of 16 and 18 will need to provide a consent letter from their parents to participate.

ROG Academy: Curriculum details
ROG Academy is a year-long program divided into four sessions. The program will mainly focus on developing e-sports skills for popular games played in e-sports tournaments such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The company has also confirmed that they will be adding more titles in near future.
Registered players will go through an extensive selection process to make it to the top six. The shortlisted players will then become a part of ROG Academy.
The selected six selected players will become part of a 3-month long session for the first quarter. The will include activities ranging from individual skill training, mentorship from the coach to teamwork, communication skills and concepts used in e-sport gaming.
The shortlisted players will receive Rs 1,00,000 after the completion of the program. Also, Asus will also offer a Rs 15,000 stipend per month to each player.
