Redmi is set to launch its first Smart TV in India today. The company has scheduled an online event to unveil Redmi Smart TV.
Xiaomi already offers smart TVs in India under the Mi brand. But this will be the first time the company will bring a smart TV under the Redmi brand.

The launch event will start at 12 pm today. It will be telecast on the company’s social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

What to expect
The company has created a microsite of the upcoming device. Redmi TV is teased to offer ‘XL Experience’ hinting that the TV may be equipped with a large screen. According to rumours, Redmi TV may come in two screen sizes- 55-inch and 65-inch. The teaser page also suggests that Redmi TV will be ‘Made in India’.
Xiaomi Global VP and MD Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain had already confirmed that the upcoming Smart TV will feature the company’s Vivid Picture Engine along with support for HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision.
Recently, Redmi shared an image of the remote control that may come with the new TV. The remote control can be seen sporting dedicated keys for Netflix and Prime Video.
There is no detail on the price of the Redmi TV.
