Redmi Note 10S, Redmi Note 10 5G smartphones launched globally: Price, specs and more – Times of India


NEW DELHI: It appears that Xiaomi is on some kind of smartphone launching spree. The company recently launched the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in India. Now, it has launched Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 10S smartphones for the global markets.
Both the smartphones are powered by MediaTek processors and come with fast charging support. The duo also runs the latest Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 12.

Price and availability
The Redmi Note 10 5G comes in Chrome Silver, Graphite Gray, Nighttime Blue and Aurora Green colour options and its price starts at $199 (Rs 14,535).
On the other hand, the price of Redmi Note 10S starts at $299 (Rs 16,730) and it can be purchased in Onyx Gray, Pebble White and Ocean Blue colour options.
Both the smartphones will go on sale next month (April 2020).
Redmi Note 5G specifications
Redmi Note 10 5G comes with a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. It comes in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB. Users can expand the storage up to 512GB by installing a microSD card.
Redmi Note 10 5G runs Android 11 operating system topped with MIUI 12. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will receive MIUI 12.5 update as well.
The dual SIM smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster.
In the camera department, Redmi Note 10 5G sports a triple rear camera with 48MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, LED Flash, 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter.
The budget smartphone is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 10S specifications
Redmi Note 10S is powered by MediaTek Helio G95 processor paired with 6GB/8GB RAM. Just like the Redmi Note 10 5G, the Note 10S also comes in two storage varinats — 64GB and 128GB.
Users can add more storage to the smartphone by inserting a microSD card.
Redmi Note 10S sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display is made scratch-resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The smartphone comes with dual SIM support and runs Android 11 operating system topped with MIUI 12.
Redmi Note 10S features a quad-rear camera setup which comprises a 48MP main sensor, 8MP 118° ultra-wide sensor, 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. The selfie lovers will get a 13MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The smartphone comes with a water-resistant design and features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It houses a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
