Redmi K40 smartphone series launch in China today: Likely specs and features – Times of India


Xiaomi is set to launch its Redmi K40 smartphone series in China today. The company is expected to bring two phones under the series- Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro.
Along with the smartphones, Xiaomi is also expected to unveil RedmiBook Pro laptop and Redmi Max television at the event today.
Xiaomi has scheduled an online event for the launch of Redmi K40 phones. The event will start at 7:30pm CST (5pm IST). The event will be telecast on the company’s official website in China along with its Weibo account.
What to expect
Xiaomi has been teasing the Redmi K40 series for sometime now in China. The upcoming smartphones are said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor. The handsets may be equipped with an AMOLED screen developed by Samsung.
As per a Weibo teaser, smartphones under the Redmi K40 series will come with Dolby Atmos sound support. While the Redmi K40 Pro is said to be powered by Snapdragon 888, the Redmi K40 could come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870G chipset.
In another teaser, the Redmi K40 series phones were seen featuring a triple camera system at the back. As per online certification listing of the device, the duo are said to come with a 6.67-inch display. They may come with support for both 4G and 5G connectivity.
