Redmi 9 Prime gets a price cut in India – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Xiaomi launched its budget smartphone Redmi 9 Prime in India in August last year. The smartphone has now received a price cut. Redmi 9 Prime comes in two variants 64GB/128GB and both the versions have got a price cut.
The 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant has got a price cut of Rs 500 and it is now selling at Rs 9,499. On the other tha, the 4GB RAM and 128GB variant has received a price drop of Rs 1,000 and it can be now be purchased at Rs 10,999

The new prices are live on Amazon.in and mi.com. Xiaomi is also offering protection against accidental and liquid damage with Mi Screen Protector on the purchase of the smartphone.
Redmi 9 Prime specifications
The Redmi 9 Prime is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor paired with 4GB RAM. The smartphone offers two storage variants — 64GB and 128GB. Users can further expand the storage by installing a microSD card.
Redmi 9 Prime features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2340 resolution. The display is made scratch-resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The device runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 12.

Redmi 9 Prime is backed by a 5020mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and it also comes with P2i coating which makes the device splash resistant. The smartphone comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor.
Redmi 9 Prime sports a quad-camera setup with 13MP main sensor with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, 8MP 118.2° ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth and 5MP 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, you will find an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
