Realme GT 5G smartphone with Snapdragon 888 processor, 65W fast charging launched in China – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Realme has launched its flagship GT 5G series smartphone in China. Realme GT 5G is the first smartphone of the company to be powered by the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
The smartphone comes with a stainless steel and copper VC cooling large area heat sink which promises to reduce the temperature by 15°C.
The premium smartphone consists of a Linear vibration motor that is optimised for gaming, providing a new 4D gaming vibration sensation with a total of 10 different vibration waveforms, allowing users to get a customized vibration sensation. Realme GT 5G also features dual stereo speakers.
The design of Realme GT 5G is inspired by sports cars and it comes in two glass versions. On the 3D glass back cover, the silver version is designed with countless delicate optical grade textures. On the other hand, the blue version uses a special optical film on the back cover.
The smartphone comes with a starting price tag of 2,799 yuan (Rs 31,440) and it will be available for sale starting March 10.
Realme GT 5G specifications
Realme GT 5G comes with a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Being a premium smartphone it is powered by the high-end octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with Adreno 660 GPU.
The smartphone packs 8GB/12GB of RAM and comes in two storage options 128GB and 256GB. Realme GT 5G runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own Realme UI 2.0. The dual SIM smartphone comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It features stereo speakers which are tuned by Dolby Atmos.
Realme GT 5G sports a triple rear camera setup with 64MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, Sony IMX682 sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.3 aperture, 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.
Realme GT 5G is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 65W Super Dart charging support. The company claims that the smartphone can charge completely within 30 minutes.
