Realme 8 Pro to come with 108MP camera, other camera features also revealed – Times of India
BBK-owned smartphone brand Realme has today announced that the company is gearing up to launch its first 108MP camera smartphone.
At its Camera Innovation Event, the company will include a 108MP camera sensor in the upcoming Realme 8 series.
Realme 8 Pro will house Samsung’s 108MP sensor HM2 as the primary camera, featuring 12000 x 9000 pixels and a large sensor size of 1/1.52″. This sensor also supports 9-in-1 pixel binning, ISOCELL Plus, and Smart-ISO, said Realme.
When it comes to zoom capabilities, Realme 8 Pro will feature three-times zoom. It is going to use only the 12 megapixels mapped with the zoomed part.
Another camera feature that the Realme 8 Pro is going to offer is Starry Time-lapse Video, which Realme claims is a world’s first feature. “Realme has come up with an exclusive time-lapse video algorithm based on starry photos. It takes 480 seconds to shoot 30 photos and then to generate a 1s time-lapse video,” said Realme in a press statement.
Another world’s first feature that the Realme 8 Pro is being claimed to offer is tilt-shift time-lapse video support.
As of now, there is no official word on the launch date or the availability of the Realme 8 series, but details about it are expected to be made official soon.
