Akshay Kumar who was spotted heading to Ayodhya to shoot his upcoming film ‘Ram Setu’, has met the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Thursday. The pictures from the meet have now gone viral on the internet.

Earlier the actor had shared a glimpse of himself with his co-stars, Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushrratt Bharuccha where they were seated on the stairs of an aircraft before jetting off. After reaching, the team kickstarted the shoot by conducting the Mahurat pooja on the film sets.

Sharing the pictures of the pooja, Akki had announced on social media, “आज श्री अयोध्या जी में फ़िल्म “रामसेतु” के शुभारंभ पर भगवान श्री राम का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त हुआ । जय श्री राम”. Later, the film team was snapped arriving back in Mumbai at the city airport.

More about the film, in ‘Ram Setu’ Akshay will be seen essaying a role of an archaeologist. Co-starring Jacqueline and Nushrratt, the film is helmed by Abhishek Sharma.

Reportedly, the film will be shot at several different locations, including a major part in Ayodhya and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, on the work front, apart from ‘Ram Setu’ Akshay has several interesting films in his pipeline. This includes ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Atrangi Re’ and ‘Prithviraj’.
