Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao went shirtless on Friday to show off his chiselled and ripped new physique. The hunk who is known to maintain a lean physique, hit the gym hard to bulk up for his role in ‘Badhaai Do’.

While he proudly showed off his buff new physique, he also admitted that it was no easy task to achieve, courtesy of his vegetarian diet and his resolve to avoid steroids. “Being a pure vegetarian and to strictly avoid any kind of steroids, it wasn’t easy to get this transformation but nothing seems impossible when you love what you do,” Rajkummar wrote in the caption.

He went on to add, “#BadhaaiDo is a film which is really close to my heart and we had a blast shooting this film. @jungleepictures.”
Over the past months, the actor has been sharing photos that show his progress in attaining the perfect physique and 6-pack abs. From showing off his ripped back to his well-defined biceps and his toned abs, the actor took the long road to fitness and he couldn’t be happier about it.

It will only be a matter of time before we see his sculpted new physique on the big screen when ‘Badhaai Do’ hits theatres.

Rajkummar and co-star Bhumi Pednekar announced the wrap of the film early this week. Backed by Junglee Pictures, the film is a sequel to the National Award-winning hit ‘Badhaai Ho!’.

The film is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, who helmed the Gulshan Devaiah-starrer comedy ‘Hunterrr’.

“Badhaai Do” marks the first collaboration between Rao and Pednekar. While the actor, features in the film as a cop, Pednekar will be seen in the role of a PT Teacher.

‘Badhaai Ho!’, the original movie was written by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial, chronicled the story of a middle-age couple, played by Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, facing an unexpected pregnancy. The 2018 film, also featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Surekha Sikri, and Sanya Malhotra, was directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.

It won two National Awards for best popular film providing wholesome entertainment and best-supporting actress for Sikri.
