Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas owned the limelight as they announced the nominees for this year’s Academy Awards. However, a social media user, whose profile describes him as a journalist based in Australia, questioned their ‘contribution’ to movies for announcing the Oscar 2021 nominees. While expressing that he didn’t mean any disrespect, he wrote, “I’m not sure their contribution to movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees.”

Slamming the Twitter user with her long list of filmography, Priyanka replied, “Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone. Here are my 60+ film credentials for your adept consideration.” In a second Tweet, the journalist admitted that he wasn’t fully aware of Priyank’s extensive credits and still questioned Nick’s contribution. “I agree her credits are very extensive and I was not fully aware of that. The contribution to Hollywood is minimal. Still no clarification on what her husbands contribution is. These are the Oscars. This isn’t personal – she’s a very successful and astute woman,” read his tweet.

This Twitter interaction soon went viral on the internet with Priyanka’s fans standing in support of the actress. The journalist later made his account private.
