Priyanka Chopra “cannot wait” to watch sister Parineeti Chopra’s ‘Saina’ – Times of India


Parineeti Chopra’s ‘Saina’ is all set to hit the theatres on Friday. In the film, helmed by Amole Gupte, the actress will be essaying the role of India’s badminton player Saina Nehwal. Parineeti shared the screenshots of the early reviews of the film on her Twitter handle with the caption, “Please support us tomorrow,” along with folded hands emoji. Soon, sister and global icon Priyanka Chopra re-tweeted her post and wrote, “Super proud @ParineetiChopra cannot wait to watch!! ❤️🔥”

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with ETimes, director Amole Gupte said talked about replacing Parineeti Chopra with Shraddha Kapoor. He said, “It was just a quirk of fate. While Shraddha was shooting with us for the first two days–all prepped up to play Saina–she got dengue. And with that she went deep down and was in recovery for a month. Because this is a sports film, she can’t come and do some emotional scenes, she has to play the sport.”
