Pokemon Go: Pokemon Go’s Holi event: What it is all about – Times of India
Pokemon Go has announced an in-game event especially for players in India on the occasion of the upcoming Holi festival. The in-game event kicks off from 10 am on Sunday, March 28, and will continue until 8 pm for Trainers in India. Besides the event, Niantic will also make two new Holi-themed T-shirt avatar items available to Trainers in India. The items can be had for free in the in-game shop starting from March 26, 2021.
As per a blog post by Pokemon Go, the “Pokémon representing the different colours of the Festival of Colors will be attracted more frequently to Incense, such as Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Alolan Grimer, Seel, Marill, Sunkern, Murkrow, Slugma, Aron, Trapinch, and Drifloon.”
Upon completion of the Festival of Colors Timed Research tasks, players will earn the following rewards: Razz Berries, Pinap Berries, Nanab Berries, Golden Razz Berry, and Silver Pinap Berry, Dragon Scale, Sun Stone, Sinnoh Stone, Poké Balls, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls, Mega Energy for Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Beedrill, Pidgeot, Gengar, and Ampharos. Also, they would get items like Hyper Potions, Super Incubator, and Premium Battle Pass.
Niantic is also hosting an India Wayfarer challenge that will be held from March 16-26, 2021. To be eligible to participate, you need to be an eligible Trainer in the country or one who reviews Indian Wayspots. “Trainers can unlock different tiers of rewards depending on the number of Wayspots approved during the challenge. These rewards will be active for all Trainers in India during the Festival of Colors event on Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 10:00 to 20:00 IST.”
