Poco F3 may launch as rebranded Redmi K40 in the global market – Times of India
It was recently reported that one of the Redmi K40 series phones will be relaunched in global markets as a smartphone under the Poco brand. Now, a US FCC certification suggests that the Poco F3 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 series phone.
The listing still does not make it clear whether Poco F3 will be a rebranded model of Redmi K40 or Redmi K40 smartphone.
A smartphone with model number M2012K11AG was spotted on a listing page of Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in February this year.
It was then alleged to be a Poco phone which was a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 series phone. The IMDA listing says that this revamped version of Redmi K40 will be a 5G phone.
The upcoming Poco F3 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset similar to the Redmi K40. The handset is expected to come with 5G support and may be offered in 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM models.
Poco F3 is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back. The camera system may comprise a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP macro sensor.
For selfies, the device is said to feature a 20MP camera at the front. It is expected that the smartphone will house a 4520mAh battery with 33watt fast charging.
