PM Modi speaks to US President Joe Biden, says ‘committed to rules-based international order’ | India News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to US President Joe Biden and said that both the leaders are committed to a rules-based international order.
The Prime Minister said on Twitter that he spoke to Biden and conveyed his best wishes for the President’s success.

“We discussed regional issues and our shared priorities. We also agreed to further our co-operation against climate change,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister added that he looks forward to consolidating India-US ties for peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
“President @JoeBiden and I are committed to a rules-based international order. We look forward to consolidating our strategic partnership to further peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister had earlier congratulated Biden after the latter took oath as the 46th President of the US.
“Congratulations to Joe Biden on his assumption of office as US Prez, look forward to working with him to strengthen India-US ties,” PM Modi had tweeted.
