oneplus nord: OnePlus rolls out Android 11 update to Nord – Times of India


Smartphone major OnePlus has begun the rollout of the Android 11 to its Nord smartphone. The first open beta of Oxygen OS 11 had arrived about two months ago and this is the stable version.
The Android 11 update brings with it changes and additions. First of all, it brings a new UI design, new Insight clock design that changes as per phone usage data and new Canvas always-on display.
The major change is the toggle for Dark Mode. The shortcut key can be found by pulling down on the quick settings. You can also now schedule the time range for the feature to turn on automatically. For this, there is a “Turn on automatically” option under ‘Dark Mode’ in ‘Settings’.
Some other features are a new shelf UI, new weather widget “with smarter animation effect” and a Story feature to automatically create weekly stories from your locally stored photos and videos.
OnePlus says that it has optimised the loading speed “to improve the image preview experience”. The company advises Nord users to have at least 30% battery in their phones and a minimum space of 3GB before applying the update.
OnePlus Nord: Specifications
The OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset with Adreno 620 GPU and runs OxygenOS 10.5 based on Android 10.
OnePlus Nord features a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with OIS, EIS and a f/1.75 aperture. The secondary sensors include an 8MP one with f/2.25 aperture, 119°, a 2MP one with f/2.4 aperture and a 5MPsensor with f/2.4 aperture. OnePlus Nord comes with dual front cameras with 32MP and 8MP sensors. The selfie camera features a 32MP SonyIMX616 sensor with f/2.45 aperture along with 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.45 aperture.
The device comes with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM options. It is backed by a 4115mAh battery with WarpCharge30T fast charging.
