‘Nothing’ to launch first wireless headphones soon – Times of India
NEW DELHI: OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei started his new consumer technology startup called ‘Nothing‘ last month. Headquartered at London, the startup will focus on developing smart and connected consumer electronics. The company has now announced that it has successfully secured $15 million in Series A funding from GV.
With the new funding, the company plans to expand its team and operations, further invest in R&D, as well as launch its community and first products in the coming months.
Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing, said, ““We are grateful to have a venture capital firm of this caliber help in building Nothing together with us,” said Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing. “We plan to aggressively grow the company, in particular our R&D and design capabilities, to realize our mission of removing barriers between people and technology.”
On the other hand, a report by Bloomberg confirmed that the company will launch a pair of wireless headphones this summer.
As per Bloomberg, Nothing is expected to launch its pair of wireless headphones sometime in Summer. Along with this, the company will also launch more products later this year. Carl Pei said in an interview that the company is focusing on building an ecosystem of smart devices and it will start by introducing simpler products like wireless earbuds. He also mentioned that the company will introduce multiple products over the year.
