‘Nil’ infiltration in 2 years from China, Myanmar | India News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: The government on Tuesday told Lok Sabha that there had been “nil’ infiltration in the last two years from the India-China, IndoBhutan and Indo-Myanmar borders, though 1,045 cases of infiltration were recorded along Indo-Bangladesh border, 61 along Indo-Pakistan border and 63 on Indo-Nepal border.
Junior home minister Nityanand Rai, in reply to a written question, said the infiltrators apprehended by the border guarding forces were handed over to the concerned state police.Rai gave the information in reply to the question by BJP MP Harish Dwivedi.
According to an ANI report, the MHA also informed the House that the central government didn’t propose to erect an impenetrable wall in place of barbed wires along the India-Pak border.
