While Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for his upcoming film, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, the pre-production works of his next film, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ has started in full swing.

According to a report in a news portal, a set of a Mumbai chawl is being created at a Mumbai studio. The production design team has been instructed to build the set by mid-April. By then, Akshay will reportedly have wrapped up his portions of ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and will turn his attention to the family drama.

The film, which was announced by the superstar Raksha Bandhan last August, marks his reunion with filmmaker Aanand L Rai after ‘Atrangi Re’, which also stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. The report also added that unlike Akshay’s past few movies, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is an emotional drama and will showcase him in a different light.

Apart from this, Akshay has a line-up of some very interesting films that include, ‘Bell Bottom’ which also stars Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta in key roles.

He also has ‘Bachchan Pandey’ where he will be seen sharing screen space with Kriti Sanon once again after ‘Housefull 4’. The movie also stars Arshad Warsi in a key role.

Akshay also has ‘Prithviraj’ and ‘Ram Setu’ in his pipeline.
