MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi on Monday took to Instagram to share a group picture, featuring Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Dhoni, singer-actor Jassie Gill and some other friends. Dhoni, who prefers to keep a low profile despite his massive fan following, was seen standing next to his wife as they posed for a group picture wearing ethnic Indian dresses. Dhoni was wearing a designer kurta and pyjama with a matching overcoat, while Sakshi was wearing a stunning baby pink lehenga.

After retiring from international cricket in August last year, Dhoni only plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he leads the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Last year’s IPL didn’t go down as planned for CSK as they failed to reach the playoffs for the first time in their history.

After a disappointing season by their high standards, the franchise released several players including the likes of Harbhajan Singh, Murali Vijay, Kedar Jadhav and Piyush Chawla as they look to shed the tag of ‘dad’s army’ going into the next season.

The IPL 2021 auction is scheduled to take place on February 18 in Chennai and CSK go into the bidding hall with Rs 22.90 crore in their kitty and have seven player slots available with one overseas slot.

Even before the auction, the MS Dhoni-led side strengthened their batting by trading seasoned campaigner Robin Uthappa from Rajasthan Royal in a all-cash deal.
