Madhur Bhandarkar shares rare photos to mark 14 years of ‘Traffic Signal’ – Times of India
‘Traffic Signal’ hit the screens in 2007 and featured Kunal Khemu, Neetu Chandra, Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead. The movie focused on the life of those living around a traffic signal in Mumbai.
Madhur Bhandarkar recently announced his next titled, ‘India Lockdown’ which will capture the consequence of the lockdown. He had told BT, “The film is inspired by true events and is set around the first two months of the lockdown (March-April 2020). It has multiple tracks running simultaneously, which revolve around migrant workers, sex workers, businessmen and lonely people. It will essentially deal with poverty and isolation. All of us were holed up in our homes, and for the first few months, we didn’t know what to do with our lives. We were not accustomed to this life. Through the film, I will try to understand what helped us survive.” ‘India Lockdown’ will feature Prateik Babbar, Aahana Kumra, Shweta Basu Prasad and Sai Tamhankar in lead roles.
