Lalbagh in Lucknow becomes Pakistan for Sidharth Malhotra‘s Mission Majnu in Lucknow. Dressed in a Pathan Suit, the actor was seen shooting in the area since morning at the area around Sharma Chai shop. Sidharth plays a RAW agent in the film, inspired by a real life character and a true event, who infiltrates the neighbouring country as an undercover while Parmeet Sethi plays the man leading RAW, based on the first man to lead the organisation, RN Kao.

The film story is based mostly in Pakistan and a lot of places in Lucknow will be replicated as being part of the neighbouring country. Some portions of the film will also be shot in Agra in March.

The Shantanu Bagchi directed film also stars Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra along with South actress Rashmika Mandanna marking her Bollywood debut with the film.

Parmeet, who reached Lucknow last week said he looked forward to shooting in Lucknow. “Lucknow nawabon ka shehar hai. I have never seen Lucknow but I hope I can see the city. But with the pandemic, I don’t think we may be able to go out much. The Lakhnawi food is very famous, so I’m hoping to have some delicious food here,” said the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge actor.

Sidharth, however, has shot earlier too in Lucknow in 2018 for Jabariya Jodi along with Parineeti Chopra.

The crew for the first few days shot at La Martiniere College, then in Qaiserbagh before canning shots at Lalbagh today.
