LG Velvet starts receiving Android 11 update – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker LG has started rolling out Android 11 update for its last year launched mid-range smartphone — LG Velvet 5G. The company released the beta build for the update last month and now it has rolled out the stable update of Android 11.
The Android 11 update for the smartphone comes with firmware version G900N2C and it weighs 2.2GB. After the Android update the LG Velvet 5G users will be able to experience Android 11 features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.

LG Velvet 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The handset offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone sports a 6.8-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The smartphone features a ‘waterdrop camera’ and 3D arc design.
LG Velvet 5G runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of UI. The dual SIM smartphone comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone packs stereo speakers with AI sound which claims to automatically analyse the content being played and adjusts the required audio quality accordingly.
LG Velvet 5G features a triple rear camera setup which comprises a 48MP main sensor with LED flash, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 5MP depth sensor. The camera also offers a voice out focus feature, which separates the background noise and voice from a video. The front houses a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone houses a 4300mAh battery with support for fast and wireless charging.
