LG announces its 2021 OLED TV series – Times of India
Electronics brand LG has announced its 2021 range of OLED TVs. The TV series includes LG Z1, G1, C1, B1 and A1 OLED TVs with a display range starting from 43-inch to 88-inch. The TVs will be up for purchase starting the first quarter this year.
LG’s 2021 OLED TVs boast of self-lit panels. While the LG A1 and LG B1 OLED TVs fall in the price-competitive segment, the LG G1 series feature OLED Evo technology to offer improved luminosity for higher brightness and punchy images.
The company has also announced QNED Mini LED TVs to its 2021 range of TVs. LG QNED Mini LED TVs will be available in 8K (models QNED99, QNED95) and 4K (models QNED90, QNED85) options. These models will be equipped with LG’s Quantum Dot NanoCell technology and Mini LED backlighting to achieve deeper blacks, more vibrant, accurate colours and greater contrast than conventional LCD televisions.
LG 2021 TV lineup also includes the new NanoCell 8K and 4K TV offerings. The TVs will be available in 8K (models NANO99, NANO 95) and 4K range (models NANO90, NANO85, NANO80, NANO77, NANO75) units to choose from. All models are equipped with LG NanoCell display technology to filter out colour impurities.
Other features available on the LG’s premium 2021 TVs include support for Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, HDR10 PRO and Filmmaker Mode. Every model in the 2021 LG TV lineup supports the advanced HDMI 2.1 feature, enhanced audio return channel (eARC).
The TVs come with Game Optimizer feature to automatically apply the best picture settings according to the type of game the user is playing. The devices also offer Sports Alert and can connect to multiple Bluetooth speakers with Bluetooth Surround Ready technology.
Majority of the 2021 LG TVs are powered by the company’s latest intelligent processor, α (Alpha) 9 Gen 4 AI. The α9 Gen 4, the company says, can optimize visual output, making precise adjustments in accordance with the amount of light in each scene.
The TVs are equipped with AI Sound Pro with auto volume levelling to ensure a consistent volume when switching between channels or streaming apps. LG 2021 TVs run on WebOS 6.0 which is said to offer faster access to apps as well as simpler content discovery with finely-tuned personalised recommendations. The TV remote offers dedicated hotkeys for popular content platforms.
