lenovo legion 2 pro: Lenovo Legion 2 Pro gaming phone to launch on April 8 – Times of India
Lenovo is all set to launch its next gaming phone–the Legion 2 Pro — on April 8. The company announced this via a post on Weibo. The only confirmed detail about the gaming flagship from the Chinese manufacturer is its dual-turbo cooling system with not one but two physical fans inside the phone.
The Legion 2 Pro gaming phone will go head to head with Asus ROG Phone 5 series phones and the Nubia RedMagic 6, both powered by the latest flagship chipset from the house of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888. While the RedMagic 6 was the first phone to arrive with 16GB RAM, the ROG Phone 5 series has phones with 16GB and 18GB RAM. Like them, the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and come with 16GB RAM. The phone is also rumoured to come with a 110W fast charging via two USB ports.
That Lenovo may be gearing up to launch a gaming phone with 16GB RAM, the successor to Legion Duel (Legion Pro), was hinted as per a listing on GeekBench (via Abhishek Yadav). The phone that appeared on Geekbench has a model number of L70081 and comes with a flagship Qualcomm chipset. The chipset has a codename of ‘lahaina’ and has a base frequency of 1.80GHz. It is believed to be the Snapdragon 888 chipset, as the codename is linked with the SD 888 platform. Besides the ‘lahaina’ chipset and the 16GB RAM, the phone has the Android 11 OS. As per the listing, the smartphone got single-core and multi-core scores of 1130 and 3779 respectively.
The Lenovo Legion Pro smartphone came powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and sported a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
