Lenovo launches cloud-based SaaS tool to diagnose PC health – Times of India

Lenovo has launched a new Software as a Service (SaaS) tool for its PC users in India. The cloud-based SaaS tool will diagnose the PC health and predict potential system failures before they occur.
Called the Lenovo Device Intelligence (LDI), the tool will be available in the country starting March this year. It comes with a 60-day trial period and requires a minimum purchase of 200 devices.
“Lenovo Device Intelligence offers the ability to IT admins to streamline the troubleshooting process while making them aware of impending crashes. This not only improves their productivity but reduces or even avoids employee downtime altogether,” the company said in a press release.
Lenovo says that the LDI uses machine-learned models that run both locally on the PC and on the cloud. The tool can analyze telemetry data, key indicators, patterns, anomalies, and root causes for common problems.
All this data will be available via an easy-to-read dashboard to display health scores for a PC. Based on the data collected, LDI determines the severity levels for each identified issue. This will enable “IT admins to quickly see the fleet status and make more informed decisions on where to focus their attention first”.
In order to secure user’s privacy, all data will be stored in a secure cloud-based technology stack for enhanced security. Lenovo says that each company’s PC health data will be encrypted and stored in dedicated tenants with limited access to authorized users.
