Bollywood hunk Kartik Aaryan, who was among the many stars who tested COVID-19 positive this week, found a reason to smile on a sunny Saturday morning. Taking to his social media handle, the star treated fans to a dreamy sun-kissed photo that he called his ‘covid selfie’.

Rocking his trademark bed head and a messy beard, the actor teased fans in his caption that read, “Mera lockdown ho gaya. Tum sab ka night curfew toh ho gaya. (I got a lockdown. You all got a night curfew.)”

This post came in shortly after Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray ordered a night curfew from Sunday onwards. The curfew will be imposed in the entire state from March 28 in view of alarming rise in coronavirus cases.

Thackeray also warned of stricter restrictions if the people did not observe COVID-19 safety protocol. “I do not wish to impose lockdown. But there seems a possibility of healthcare facilities falling short given the rise in the number of coronavirus patients,” Thackeray was quoted as saying in a report on PTI.

Kartik was one among the many Bollywood actors who tested positive for the virus this week. Stars from Aamir Khan to Paresh Rawal, Milind Soman to Vikram Phadnis, R Madhavan to Ramesh Taurani among others took to social media to inform fans about their test results. Many also made sure to ask those who came in close contact with them, to get tested immediately.

Kartik was working on his film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ when he contracted the virus. Since his test results came back positive, the film’s shoot was halted and director Anees Bazmee along with the cast and crew members made sure to get themselves tested.
