The pop-superstar on Tuesday extended her support to the ongoing farmers protest in India. “Why aren’t we talking about this? #FarmersProtest,” she asked in a Twitter post.
The tweet garnered a lot of international reaction from celebrities, activists and politicians alike, bringing an added focus to the movement.
Soon after Rihanna’s tweet began trending in the country and around the world, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut had no qualms calling her ‘a fool’ and ‘a dummy’ in reply to her question.
“No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA… Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies,” Ranaut tweeted.
The post had a visibly “shook” Twitter users reacting to the same. While some chose to apologise to Rihanna for Kangana’s comment, others reacted with hilarious memes, keeping in mind that the Bollywood star had expressed her fondness for the singer in the past.
