iPad Pro: The 2021 iPad Pro may be powered by A14X Bionic chip – Times of India

Apple may equip the next iteration of iPad Pro with its A14X Bionic chip, as per a report by PhoneArena. The current iPad Pro runs on the A12Z Bionic which Apple had claimed to be one of the fastest processors. The report adds weight to leaked benchmark scores last year that said that the 5nm chip would replace the A12Z Bionic. The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to unveil the 2021’s iPad Pro next month.
The A12Z Bionic chip by Apple is a 64-bit ARM-based chip and has a total of 8 GPU cores out of which 4 are Vortex cores, designed for performance, and 4 are Tempest cores for saving power. The A12 Bionic comes with a maximum clock speed of 2.49GHz. The chip also includes an M12 coprocessor which is said to reduce the workload of the CPU. The function of the M12 coprocessor is to fetch and process sensor data
Apple’s latest iPad — the iPad Pro — is its most-powerful yet and comes with several first-time features. It is the first iPad with a dual-camera, a trackpad, a Magic keyboard and LiDAR scanner. The iPad Pro was launched in two screen sizes — 11-inches and 12.9-inches– and three storage variants — 128GB, 512GB and 1TB.
The Retina display of the iPad Pro features ProMotion technology, which automatically adjusts the display refresh rate up to 120 Hz. The iPad Pro features a 12MP wide camera and a 10MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera on the iPad Pro has a 7MP sensor.
One of the highlights of the iPad Pro is the LiDAR Scanner, which measures the distance to surrounding objects up to 5 meters away. Apple claims that the iPad Pro has a battery life of up to 10 hours.
