Virat Kohli took to social media to pen a beautiful message for his fans on International Women’s Day, and also treated them with a photo of Anushka Sharma and their daughter Vamika. Taking to Instagram, the Indian cricket team captain wrote, “Seeing the birth of a child is the most spine chilling, unbelievable and amazing experience a human being can have. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them. It’s because they are way stronger than us men. Happy Women’s Day to the most fiercely, compassionate and strong woman of my life and to the one who’s going to grow up to be like her mother. And also a Happy Women’s Day to all the amazing women of the world.”

Kohli’s heartfelt message was well-received by his fans, with many pointing out that the photograph was beautiful.

Kohli and Anushka got married in 2017, and welcomed their daughter on January 11. Kohli was also granted paternity leave by the BCCI, for attending the birth of his daughter. He departed for his home after the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In his absence, Ajinkya Rahane captained the team, and led India to a 2-1 victory.
