NEW DELHI: After losing the opening Test of the four-match Test series, India bounced back in style and thrashed England by 317 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India registered their series-levelling win inside four days.
Left-arm spinner and debutant Axar Patel claimed a five-wicket haul as England were skittled out for 164, while chasing a mammoth 482.
India’s premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin bagged eight wickets in the match and scored a brilliant 106 with the bat. Ashwin was adjudged Man of the Match for his stupendous all-round show.
Former India cricketers took to social media and lauded India’s big win in Chennai.
